The story is not built up by combining different points of view of eyewitnesses and / or experts. The truth comes from beauty, urgency, style, and new perspectives. Stories have their own merit, their own truth. Personal observation and presentation of the subject. The highly personal narrative needs to be combined with a broader sense of urgency: this singular story is a perspective on a broader issue that is recognizable and important. This approach is the basis of identification with the subject. Either the filmmaker or the protagonist tells the story in 1st person singular.
